Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Power Electronics)

Pay Rate: $40/HR on C2C

Duration: 11 Months

Introduction:

Join a global engineering team utilizing advanced design tools and techniques to develop state-of-the-art CT systems for leadership in medical diagnostic imaging systems. The Engineer is responsible for driving elements of the multi-generational product plan as well as product specific development plans.  In short design you get to solve an array of technical challenges by designing from scratch or reengineering current designs, every day is exciting.  Main responsibilities for this role can range from circuit design (Analog or Power) to simulation work (Matlab).  Looking for a well-rounded Power Electronics Engineer that can execute on a variety of tasks on this super-awesome fun-tastic team.

Job Description:

  • Design power electronics circuitry for Premium CT Hardware either on NPI products or maintenance of installed base.
  • Drives and is accountable for operational excellence of assigned designs, projects and rigor, with duties including design, project reviews, feasibility analysis, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, resourcing, initiation, execution and closure
  • Drive the development of prototypes, performance testing and design documentation
  • Capture electrical design schematic using an ECAD system
  • Review and approve layout done on the ECAD system
  • Develop innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability

 Required Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of industry electrical engineering experience.
  • 5 years of industry experience in power electronics design.
  • Knowledge standard schematic practices, product structuring, electronics modeling, and engineering analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of power electronics, integrated circuit design, control system design, programming, simulation & test
  • Knowledge of Low and high voltage DC and AC circuit designs

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's or PHD degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Good understanding of circuit/circuit board design both analog and digital
  • Familiarity with digital electronics, switches and flux capacitors
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute projects/programs.
  • Ability to multi-task, both on projects within the electrical team and within the greater hardware team.
