Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 13-Week Contract (Extension Possible)
Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Possible Evening & Weekend On-Call

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a reputable healthcare facility in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality radiographic and nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining compliance with all departmental protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic and nuclear medicine procedures as prescribed by physicians.

  • Greet patients professionally, explain procedures clearly, and ensure their comfort throughout the process.

  • Accurately position patients and set appropriate technical parameters to obtain optimal imaging results.

  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards and protocols.

  • Operate imaging equipment effectively and report any technical malfunctions immediately.

  • Process and archive imaging studies according to departmental procedures.

  • Enter patient and exam data accurately into the Radiology Information System (RIS).

  • Maintain compliance with all department policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • Be available for scheduled evening and weekend on-call duties.


Required Qualifications:

  • Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent education.

  • Valid New York State License and Registration in Radiologic Technology.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a radiologic technologist role, specifically in CT and/or MRI settings.

  • Current AHA BLS Certification.

  • Must pass pre-employment health clearance requirements.

  • Strong communication, patient care, and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in the operation of imaging equipment and radiology software systems.
