Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Position Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential care and support to patients under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. CNAs assist with daily living activities, help maintain a clean and safe environment, and contribute to the overall comfort and well-being of patients in various healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Monitor and document food and fluid intake and output.
• Support patients during meal times and assist with feeding as needed.
• Report changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and common areas.
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to patients.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Assist with the transportation and positioning of patients.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active CNA certification as required by state regulations.
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
