Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves both front and back-office tasks, providing a comprehensive support system to the healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have solid clinical experience, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative and Clinical Support: Perform both front and back-office duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.

  • Phlebotomy: Draw blood samples from patients and process them for laboratory analysis.

  • EKG Testing: Conduct electrocardiograms to monitor heart activity.

  • Point-of-Care Testing: Perform various point-of-care (POC) tests, including glucose checks, rapid strep tests, and other clinical assessments.

  • Patient Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments and coordinate necessary follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.

  • Patient Rooming: Prepare patients for their appointments, ensuring they are ready for the provider and collecting necessary medical information.

  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight, to assess patient health.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

  • Certifications:

    • Medical Assisting Certification (required).

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).

  • Skills:

    • Strong phlebotomy skills and experience with venipuncture.

    • Proficient in conducting EKGs and other diagnostic tests.

    • Experience in point-of-care testing (POC).

    • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality patient care.
