We are currently seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead clinical operations and nursing services at a well-established healthcare facility in Falmouth, ME. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced RN with a passion for high-quality patient care, staff mentorship, and regulatory excellence.
Supervise and support the nursing staff, ensuring high performance, ongoing training, and professional development
Oversee day-to-day nursing operations while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and clinical best practices
Develop, review, and implement nursing policies and procedures
Coordinate and optimize staff scheduling to meet patient care needs
Monitor patient/resident health outcomes and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives
Ensure accurate clinical documentation and readiness for audits or inspections
Facilitate communication among care teams, residents, families, and leadership
Manage infection control efforts and safety/hygiene protocol compliance
Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and family meetings
Oversee nursing department budgeting and resource allocation
Registered Nurse (RN) license – Required
BLS Certification – Required
ACLS Certification – Preferred
1–2 years of related experience in a supervisory or leadership nursing role
Strong communication, organizational, and team management skills
Familiarity with clinical compliance and quality assurance procedures
