Job Title: Registered Nurse – Wound Care
Location: New York, NY 10004
Shift: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week | 8 hours/day

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Wound Care Certified Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated care team serving patients across multiple NYC boroughs. The role is predominantly office-based (70%) with occasional travel required for patient wound care consults at home in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct wound/ostomy/continence health assessments and focused physical exams

• Develop and revise individualized plans of care and treatment recommendations

• Assess and document patient responses to wound treatment

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for quality outcomes

• Deliver culturally competent education to patients, families, and staff

• Participate in staff education, orientation, and quality improvement initiatives

• Support with preventative care including pressure injury risk assessments

• Coordinate referrals to community resources

• Oversee proper use and tracking of rented specialty medical equipment

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of med/surg nursing experience

• Wound and colostomy care experience required

• Strong documentation, time management, and patient education skills

• Must be comfortable managing 15–20 wound consults per day

Certifications & Licensure (Required):

• Active New York State RN License

• AHA BLS Certification

• One of the following wound care certifications:

  • Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN)

  • Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON)

  • Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN)

  • Certified Wound Specialist (CWS)

  • Wound Care Certified (WCC)
