Clinical Radiation Therapist

Qualifications:

• AAS or AMA-certified program in Radiation Therapy.
• RRT license with 3-5 years of experience in a clinical radiation therapy setting.
• NYS license required.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

• Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments under National Cancer Institute regulations.
• Operate high-voltage radiation therapy equipment, including Linear Accelerators and Simulators.
• Interpret physician prescriptions and ensure accurate radiation delivery.
• Perform pre-treatment localization of tumors using Simulator equipment.
• Maintain patient treatment records and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Educate patients on radiation therapy procedures and side effects.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and work collaboratively with oncology teams.
