Histotechnologist – Clinical Laboratory

Qualifications:

• NYS License/registration or limited permit to practice as a certified Histological Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Minimum of 2 years of histology or clinical laboratory experience required.
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

• Perform histology sectioning and staining, including special stains and immunohistochemical techniques.
• Conduct advanced histology procedures such as neuropathology, enzyme histochemistry, and renal/nerve biopsies.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of clinical and research specimens.
• Perform computer data entry for surgical pathology and research specimens.
• Maintain specimen records and billing information with precision.
• Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and ensure patient confidentiality.
