Job Title: GI Lab Technician – Endoscopic Technician
Location: Dallas, TX 75231
Facility: Hospital Setting
Duration: 13-Week Contract (Extendable)
Shift: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $27/hourly
Education: High School Diploma (HSD)
Certification: SGNA (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates)
Monitor and record vital signs as needed.
Perform EKGs and assist in medical procedures.
Assist with pulse oximetry placement and patient monitoring.
Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of medical equipment and instruments.
Report malfunctions of equipment to the appropriate personnel.
Manage inventory control for medical supplies and ensure exam rooms are well-stocked.
Set up oxygen and suction as required.
Collect specimens and transport them to the lab when necessary.
Retrieve Endoscopy reports from the computer system when needed.
Provide patient instructions and information as necessary.
Respond quickly and act calmly in emergencies, including initiating CPR and assisting emergency teams.
