Job Summary:

The Perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality nursing care throughout the perioperative period. This role involves working in both preoperative and intraoperative settings, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain operating rooms for surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and efficient workflows.
• Monitor patient conditions throughout the perioperative period.
• Enforce sterile techniques and infection prevention measures.
• Document patient care and interventions according to hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and their families about preoperative and postoperative care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Perioperative setting within a major acute care hospital.
• Strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety protocols.

Education & Licensure:

• Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
• Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license

Work Schedule:

• Location: Healthcare facilities across New Jersey
• Hours: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift Availability: Rotational Shift
• Requirements: Every other weekend, holiday shifts required, no on-call
