Outpatient Clinic Medical Scribe

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent coursework.
• Three years of experience in medical scribing or office administration.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must comply with HIPAA standards and legal documentation guidelines.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance if working onsite.

Duties:

• Accurately transcribe patient visits and physician notes into EPIC EMR.
• Assist in recording patient histories, assessments, and treatment plans.
• Translate medical abbreviations into full terminology.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA.
• Adapt to updates in medical coding, documentation standards, and EMR regulations.
