Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab, critical care, or telemetry unit.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) or Cardiac-Vascular Nursing Certification (RN-BC) preferred.
Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, arrhythmia recognition, and cardiovascular procedures.
Duties:
Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and cardiac status throughout procedures.
Administer and titrate cardiac medications, including anticoagulants and vasoactive drugs.
Educate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure care, medications, and lifestyle changes.
Assess for and respond to complications, such as arrhythmias, bleeding, or hemodynamic instability.
Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
Document all patient assessments, medications, and procedural interventions.
