Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Bariatric Nurse 

Qualifications: 

• Active RN license with at least 2 years of experience in bariatric and post-surgical care. 

• BLS and ACLS certification required; Bariatric Nurse Certification preferred. 

Duties: 

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing bariatric surgery. 

• Monitor for complications such as nutritional deficiencies, dehydration, and wound infections. 

• Assist patients with post-surgical mobility, dietary needs, and weight management. 

• Educate patients on lifestyle changes, post-operative diet plans, and exercise regimens. 

• Collaborate with bariatric surgeons, dietitians, and physical therapists. 

• Monitor for early signs of complications and initiate prompt medical interventions. 

• Maintain compliance with bariatric care best practices and hospital safety protocols.
