Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Respiratory Nurse
Qualifications:
Current RN license with at least 2 years of experience in respiratory care and medical-surgical nursing.
BLS and ACLS certification required; Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) certification preferred.
Duties:
Provide nursing care for patients with respiratory conditions such as COPD, pneumonia, and asthma.
Monitor oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and ventilator-dependent patients.
Administer respiratory medications, steroids, and bronchodilators.
Collaborate with respiratory therapists and pulmonologists for patient care.
Educate patients and families on breathing exercises and smoking cessation.
Recognize early signs of respiratory distress and implement interventions.
Maintain compliance with respiratory care protocols and infection control measures.
