Registered Nurse – Endoscopy Nurse

Qualifications:

Current RN license with at least 2 years of experience in endoscopy or procedural care.
ACLS and BLS certification required.
Experience in conscious sedation, GI procedures, and post-anesthesia monitoring.
Strong ability to recognize complications such as perforation or adverse sedation reactions.

Duties:

Provide nursing care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures.
Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations, including colonoscopies and upper GI procedures.
Monitor patients before, during, and after sedation.
Educate patients on bowel preparation, procedure expectations, and recovery.
Manage and document medications, including sedatives and analgesics.
Ensure infection control and sterilization protocols are followed.
Maintain compliance with endoscopy and procedural nursing best practices.
