Description:
The Neuro Critical Care Nurse provides intensive care for patients with neurological conditions, ensuring that both cardiac and neuro assessments are completed regularly. This nurse works closely with a multidisciplinary team to manage patients in an 18-bed unit that specializes in stroke, seizures, subdural hematomas, and other neurological diagnoses. Duties include managing drips, performing IV insertions, and using specialized pumps for feeding and pain management. This role requires night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Mandatory Skills:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in neuro critical care or IMCU.
• Expertise in cardiac and insulin drips, IV management, and telemetry.
• Skilled in neuro assessments and using IV, PCA, and feeding pumps.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required.
• Willingness to work night shifts and on-call holidays/weekends.
