Description:
The Neurosurgery IMCU RN provides specialized care to patients recovering from neurosurgical procedures or dealing with complex neurological conditions. This role requires experience in telemetry, cardiac and insulin drips, and IV management, as well as proficiency in neuro assessments. The nurse will be responsible for managing neuro patients, including those with strokes, seizures, and subdural hematomas. The unit utilizes various pumps and machines, such as IV, PCA, and feeding pumps, and provides wound care using VAC devices. Weekend and holiday shifts are part of the role.

Mandatory Skills:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with 3+ years of experience in neurosurgery or neuro IMCU settings.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH.
• Experience with telemetry, IV pumps, PCA pumps, and feeding pumps.
• Ability to perform neuro assessments and manage complex neuro cases.
• Flexibility for weekend and holiday shifts.
