Schedule:

• Monday, Wednesday: 6:45 AM - 2:45 PM
• Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 6:45 AM - 5:30 PM

Duration: 6 Months

Compensation: $1200 to $1800 Weekly

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled RN/LPN to deliver specialized care for a non-verbal, non-ambulatory child with sustained seizure activity and G-tube feeding requirements. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care throughout the school day, ensuring the student's unique health needs are met. Additionally, the role includes accompanying the student on bus transportation and providing substitute health office coverage at various schools as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct Patient Care:

  • Provide specialized care for a non-verbal, non-ambulatory child with sustained seizure activity and G-tube feeding.
  • Recognize and manage various types of seizures with timely and appropriate interventions.

• Daily Care Management:

  • Oversee the student’s care and well-being throughout the school day.
  • Accompany the student on the bus to and from school, ensuring continuous medical oversight during transportation.

• Additional Coverage:

  • Provide substitute health office coverage at various schools when required.

• Ambulates using a gait trainer; primarily relies on a wheelchair for mobility

Qualifications:

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year in pediatric critical care experience

• Licensure and Certifications:

  • Active Virginia State RN License
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
