Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Location: Denton, TX

Shift Type: 2nd 12-Hour Shift

Shift Rotation Options: 9 AM–9 PM, 12 PM–12 AM, or 3 PM–3 AM

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic, high-acuity emergency department within a prominent Texas health organization. This role involves providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting a diverse patient population including stroke, cardiac, diabetic, and acute kidney cases. The unit is equipped with 41 beds and serves over 135 patients daily with a 4:1 patient ratio. The facility is in active pursuit of Level 3 Trauma designation and is recognized as a Primary Stroke Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center with a 24/7 Cath Lab, and a Level 3 NICU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive emergency care to a varied patient population with acute conditions.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a high-volume, 41-bed unit.
• Manage critical situations effectively, utilizing strong clinical judgment and advanced skills.
• Adhere to established protocols and maintain patient safety in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and adhere to regulatory and accreditation standards.

Requirements:

• Education: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience:
  • Prior experience in an emergency department is required.
  • Level 2 trauma experience is mandatory.
• Certifications:
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ALS (Advanced Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
• Schedule Commitment:
  • Work a rotating 12-hour shift (MIDS) with options of 9 AM–9 PM, 12 PM–12 AM, or 3 PM–3 AM.
  • Commit to 6 weekend shifts per every 6-week schedule.
