Position: Pharmacist
Location: New York, NY
Hourly Rate: $75 to $80
Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
Department: Pharmacy Department

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and ensure proper medication management for patients.
• Safely prepare sterile products and IV medications in accordance with health regulations.
• Review physician prescriptions for appropriateness, accuracy, and potential drug interactions.
• Educate patients on the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and safe administration.
• Monitor and adjust patient medication therapies to optimize outcomes and prevent adverse effects.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, participating in clinical rounds or meetings to discuss patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate medication records and report any adverse drug reactions.
• Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Manage inventory of medications and medical supplies efficiently.
• Use pharmacy dispensing systems and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to process medication orders and maintain patient records.
• Support sterile processing procedures, ensuring proper sterilization protocols are followed.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacist.
• Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems, sterile processing, and IV room procedures.
• Knowledge of EMR systems.
• Valid Pharmacist License issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED), with Primary Source Verification of the license required.
