Position: Registered Ultrasound Tech - Vascular
Location: Elmhurst, NY
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Rotating weekends required, including holidays.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Ultrasound Tech specializing in vascular diagnostics to perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound procedures. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in arterial and venous testing and will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound exams, including arterial and venous testing.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of ultrasound findings and maintain detailed patient records.
  • Collaborate with physicians and medical teams to review diagnostic results and support treatment planning.
  • Follow established protocols to ensure a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for patients.
  • Adhere to quality assurance measures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work rotating weekends and report as scheduled, including on holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Ultrasound Technologist specializing in non-invasive vascular ultrasound, including expertise in arterial and venous testing.
  • Certifications:
    • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification issued by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
    • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required.
    • AHA - BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred.
  • Education: Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field (Community College, MBO).

Skills and Attributes:

  • In-depth knowledge of vascular ultrasound procedures and equipment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain procedures to patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on providing accurate diagnostic results.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
