Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED)

Job Summary:
Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurses are crucial in providing care for patients in critical situations. These RNs must be ready to handle diverse emergency scenarios for patients of all ages, offering specialized and innovative services. Ideal candidates are capable of promptly and accurately assessing incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions and prioritizing their medical needs accordingly. ED RNs should be skilled in managing trauma cases requiring quick and decisive action.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide expert care for patients during emergency situations.
  • Quickly assess and prioritize patients' conditions, including physical and mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement effective nursing care plans.
  • Perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical teams to ensure quality care.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting.
  • Recent ED experience within the past six months.
  • Proficiency in clinical knowledge and analytical skills to formulate and implement care plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Multi-state compact nursing license is acceptable.

Certifications & Licensure:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA

Language Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English (speak, read, write).

Schedule Details:

  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3 shifts per week (12-hour shifts).
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
