Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist 3 (QA 3)
Location: Columbus, Ohio 43215

Overview:

  • This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week on-site (Tuesday and Wednesday).
  • Remote work is not 100% optional.
  • Ideal candidates should possess knowledge of Integrated Eligibility systems (Medicaid, SNAP/TANF, or Child Care).

Position Details:
The Quality Assurance Specialist 3 will play a key role in testing, scripting, and ensuring the quality of Integrated Eligibility systems. Candidates should have a background in software testing, experience with QA best practices, and proficiency in both manual and automated testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality assurance for Integrated Eligibility systems, including Medicaid, SNAP/TANF, or Child Care.
  • Test eligibility rules and processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Conduct reports and integration testing, with knowledge of test management tools.
  • Develop, script, and execute tests manually and using automation tools such as Selenium and Cucumber.
  • Coordinate QA resources and serve as a point of contact for release testing.
  • Ensure testing adheres to established QA processes, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Provide detailed feedback on testing outcomes and defects, following issues to closure.
  • Work within Agile frameworks, including regression testing.
  • Maintain knowledge of SDLC and defect lifecycles.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to stakeholder inquiries.

Mandatory Requirements:

  1. Experience:
    • 7+ years of experience with Health and Human Services (HHS) eligibility systems and policy.
    • 7+ years of experience as a tester, focusing on Medicaid and SNAP/TANF benefits.
  2. Testing Expertise:
    • Strong skills in writing and executing test scripts.
    • Familiarity with Agile frameworks, regression testing, and test management software.
  3. Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  4. Technical Knowledge:
    • Proficiency in QA processes, defect lifecycle, and SDLC principles.
    • Knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium and Cucumber is preferred.
  5. Communication:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with eligibility systems and policies.
  • Knowledge of performance improvement tools and test management processes.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
