Pay: $27 - $28 per hour (W2)

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled and certified Telemetry Technician to join our healthcare team in Queens, NY. The Telemetry Tech will play a crucial role in monitoring and interpreting cardiac readings, ensuring patient safety through accurate and timely analysis of heart monitor data during the afternoon shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor & Interpret: Continuously observe heart monitors, identifying any abnormalities such as arrhythmias, irregular heartbeats, or cardiac arrest.
• Perform EKGs: Attach electrodes, record heart electrical impulses, and conduct EKGs and stress tests as required.
• Respond to Abnormalities: Recognize and respond promptly to irregular heart rhythms, reporting critical findings to the responsible doctor or nurse.
• Documentation: Update patient records with accurate heart monitor and EKG readings.
• Equipment Care: Clean and maintain heart monitors and EKG machines, reporting any needed repairs promptly.
• Staff Training: Assist in training new staff on telemetry and monitoring equipment.
• Quality Care: Provide compassionate and professional care, contributing to high patient service standards.

Required Certifications:

1. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
2. EKG Technician Certification
3. Telemetry Technician Certification
