Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule:

• Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (rotating shifts)
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
• No holidays or on-call

Job Summary: The Certified Medical Assistant will assist in providing clinical care to select patients under the supervision of a professional nurse or licensed medical practitioner and offer clerical office support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms, ensuring supplies and instruments are ready.
• Assist in preparing patients for physician visits and examinations.
• Take patients' vital signs and record them in medical charts.
• Understand the operation and care of special medical equipment.
• Perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus Tests, UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, and other lab tests after completing performance evaluation checklists.
• Maintain patient records, filing reports, and assist with billing procedures.
• Use computer software to manage office systems.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and comply with privacy standards.
• Adapt care and communication based on the specific needs of the patient population (age, culture, language, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in a Pediatric Practice.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively and provide support to diverse populations in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with computerized processes and data entry procedures.

Education:

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Certifications & Licensure:

• Required:
  • AHA BLS certification.
  • One of the following:
    • CMA (NHA, NCCT, AAMA)
    • RMA (AMT, NAHP)
    • AMCA
    • NCMA
• Preferred: N/A

Languages:

• English (Speak, Read, Write)

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting a minimum of 5 lbs., pushing/pulling a minimum of 10 lbs., and standing for at least 6 hours daily.
