Job Title: RN - Pediatric ICU

Duration: 3 Months Contract

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maternal and child health, with the necessary skills in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the ICU, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy as required.
• Administer conscious sedation under appropriate protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor patients' conditions, report any changes, and provide appropriate interventions.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management strategies.

Qualifications:

Skills:

• A minimum of two years of experience in pediatric nursing with a focus on maternal and child health.
• Proficient in IV insertion and phlebotomy techniques.
• Experience with administering conscious sedation.

Education:

• Current New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Certifications & Licenses:

• Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Phlebotomy certification (preferred).

Languages: Proficiency in English (speak, read, write).

Work Schedule:

• Hours per Week: 34.50 hours
• Hours per Day: 11.50 hours
• Days per Week: 3 days
• Schedule Notes: Rotating weekends are required, and staff must report as scheduled, including holidays.
