Position: Dispatcher
Location: Springdale, AR
Duration: 3 Months

Schedule:

  • 8 PM – 8 AM (Sunday-Tuesday, every other Saturday)
  • Training: Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (may include additional weekend training with off-shift personnel)

Summary:

The Dispatcher is responsible for managing relationships between carriers, customers, and sales groups for assigned accounts. The role requires developing a deep understanding of the customer’s organization, product needs, and processes while collaborating with the Sales team to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact between client’s Supply Chain and assigned external customers, overseeing all aspects of the customer relationship.
  • Analyze and respond to incoming emails, ensuring prompt resolution to inquiries.
  • Utilize multiple dispatch systems (TES, LME, FOUR KITES, OTR) and external scheduling systems (Retailix, Retail Link, UNFI, One Network) to address and resolve issues for all business units.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of client’s internal policies, procedures, and software applications, as well as the structure and procedures of external customers.
  • Identify and implement cost-effective and creative solutions to service both client and customer needs, resolving delivery issues while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in transportation or logistics.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of business experience in transportation or logistics (beyond regular customer service roles).
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office applications; must be able to manage a high volume of emails (up to 300 per day).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, conflict management, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Must be able to multi-task and maintain a positive attitude.
