Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant - Physician Services

Location: North Bergen, NJ 07047
Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for providing clinical care to patients under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner, while also performing essential clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms, ensuring availability of necessary supplies.
• Assist patients in preparing for physician visits and examinations.
• Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient charts.
• Conduct EKGs, pulmonary function tests (PFT), audiometry, urine drug screens (UDS), and phlebotomy as required.
• Support billing procedures and maintain patient records.
• Utilize computer software for efficient office management.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and adapt care delivery to meet individual needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Proficiency in computerized processes and data entry.

Education

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Certifications & Licensure

• Required: AHA BLS (Basic Life Support).
