Job Title: Senior Purview and Microsoft Expert
Duration: 10 months
Location: Chelsea, MA (Hybrid)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Purview expert to implement a data labeling and data loss prevention solution within Office 365, covering email, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams. This initiative is critical to securing taxpayer information and must be completed before migrating files to the Microsoft Office 365 cloud. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in large-scale Purview deployments and a strong technical background in Office 365.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain Microsoft Purview solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.
• Implement data classification and data loss prevention across all Office 365 environments using Microsoft Purview.
• Provide strategic guidance and hands-on expertise to cross-functional teams throughout the Purview implementation.
• Organize data labels for easy accessibility and comprehension by users.
• Collaborate with data owners to document business and technical metadata for critical data elements.
• Identify best practices for data labeling and loss prevention in collaboration with various agencies.
• Conduct training sessions for technical users on Microsoft Purview functionality and best practices.
• Contribute to the development of data governance policies and strategies for cloud data migration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data management requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Microsoft Purview in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Leadership experience in developing Purview policies for data labeling and loss prevention across multiple projects.
• Proficiency with Office 365 applications, including email, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Teams.
• 6+ years in the IT industry, with 4+ years specifically focused on Microsoft Purview.
• Experience in a structured development environment with formal change management and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with data security and cybersecurity practices, preferably in a CISO office.
• Previous experience with government Purview projects is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of IRS Publication 1075 requirements and experience with Jira is desired.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
