The Merchandising Coordinator supports the buying team by executing administrative and routine functions as well as a variety of tasks needed to support office efficiency. They provide logistical support in vendor relations and may be responsible for certain routine reporting needs. Priorities and tasks may change as required by the needs of the business. This position reports to a Senior Buyer or Buyer.

Job Description:

  • Log and organize brand submissions and samples and document feedback from core category teams
  • Assist with brand meeting schedules and coordination.
  • Manages the maintenance of SKUs by ensuring SKUs are accurate per Merchant's discretion. This includes shelf tag requests, description changes, brand charges, style codes, feature codes, store classification changes, product display pages and markdowns.
  • Initiates and seeds offer for all promotions into Promo Advisor, utilizing print + master side by sides. Inputs all SKUs into offers and finalizes with pricing team
  • Executes marketing sign requests and proofing, maintains organized product samples and proofs mag pages and digital assets for accuracy, inputs brand and item data into email and homepage wireframes
  • Supports the planogram process by submitting pricing requests, new SKU setups, existing sku coding changes, inputting markdowns, executing exit strategies (initiates RTV/DIF), and proofing graphics
  • Prepares store memos/communication requests and responds to help desk ticket with proactive solutioning.
  • Provides general administrative support for brand contact maintenance, brand/vendor meetings, and additional tasks as required

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • SKU maintenance: Ensures SKUs are properly maintained per buyer's direction including shelf tag requests, description changes, brand changes, style codes, feature codes, store classification changes, and markdowns.
  • Contracts: Create, send out, collect, and upload all signed contracts. Ensure contract log is up to date.
  • Store support: Prepares store memos/communication requests, responds to helpdesk/remedy inquiries.
  • Promotions: Responsible to entering promotions into Report Manager.
  • Planograms: Submits cover letter and pricing requests for new planograms.
  • Marketing: Responsible for executing sign requests, ad sample orders and turn over.
  • Logistics: Initiates RTV/DIF, Clearance and Store to DC transfers at Buyer's direction.
  • Administrative: Assists team in maintaining calendar and scheduling brand meetings. Keeps vendor/brand list up to date with accurate contact information.

Requirements Equirements for Consiberation:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Two years of relevant work experience preferred; ideal is a mix of both retail and office/corporate experience.
  • Passion for brands, products, and the development of assortments that continue to inspire and meet the needs of our guests
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Creative problem solver with an innovative mindset
  • Strong collaborator with both internal partners and external brand partners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong working knowledge of Excel preferred (v-look ups and formulas)
  • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively and stay organized in a fast-moving business
