Title: Certified Medical Assistant
Duration: 13 weeks+ (Extendable)
Location: Golden Valley, MN
Shift: M-F, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with flexible to work 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Assist with patient intake, including taking vital signs, recording medical history, and preparing patients for exams.
• Phone Triage: Manage phone triage effectively by assessing patient needs and prioritizing care based on clinical protocols.
• Clinical Support: Support physicians during examinations and minor procedures, administer medications, and perform diagnostic tests as needed.
• Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently.
• Communication: Provide excellent communication with patients and families, offering guidance and support regarding care plans and medical instructions.
• Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all medical supplies and equipment are readily available.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience in a medical office setting (Required).
• Flexibility to float to other clinics in close proximity if needed – (Required).
• Strong phone triage experience (required).
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

Certification:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through AAMA or an equivalent certification (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through (AHA or ARC) (required).
• Medical Assistant Diploma must be from a program that meets accreditation standards from either CAAHEP or ABHES
