Job Title: CT Technician
Location: Fort Worth, TX, 76102
Department: Equipment Center
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 Hours Week)

Job Summary:

The CT Technician will primarily perform CT scans with flexibility to cover other imaging modalities as needed. The role involves working overnight shifts and adapting to varying schedules based on the needs of the facility. The technician will support the Radiology department by providing high-quality imaging services, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and complying with medical and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Operate CT scanners to capture detailed images of patients as ordered by physicians.
Multimodality Flexibility: While the primary focus is on CT, be prepared to perform other imaging procedures as needed.
Ensure high-quality images by adjusting equipment settings and patient positioning as required.
Prepare and position patients for CT scans, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns.
Follow radiation safety protocols and ensure proper shielding to minimize exposure.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on CT equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly.
Identify and report any equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and patient information.
Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare team members to ensure effective patient care.

Certifications:

  • Texas Medical Board certification as a medical radiologic technologist.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography.
  • Current CPR certification.

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a CT Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform a variety of imaging procedures, with a primary focus on CT.
  • Ability to adapt to varying shift schedules and rotating call responsibilities.
  • Competence in operating CT scanners and understanding imaging techniques.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in imaging and patient positioning.
  • Effective verbal communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
