Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing and assisting with ultrasound examinations, providing technical support to the Radiologist, and ensuring the care and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.

Duties:

• Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures following established protocols
• Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment, ensuring safety measures are taken for patients and staff
• Clean, set up, and make minor adjustments to equipment
• Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies
• Mentor and assist in the orientation of new ultrasound personnel
• Capture images and transfer them to PACS for physician review
• Answer phone calls, schedule examinations, and coordinate patient transportation as needed
• Perform additional tasks as required

Skills:

• Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative software
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and discretion

Education: Graduate of a two-year ultrasound program with both clinical and didactic education

Languages: English (Speak, Read, Write)
