Job Title: Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer
Location: Jamaica, NY, 11432
Shift: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Shifts per Week: 37.5 Hours

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using X-rays and other radiologic equipment. The individual in this role will provide high-quality imaging services to assist in patient diagnosis while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic imaging procedures following prescribed protocols and ensuring patient safety.
  • Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
  • Accurately position patients for radiologic examinations to obtain optimal imaging results.
  • Review and assess images for quality, ensuring clear and accurate diagnostic results.
  • Assist physicians with interpreting radiographic images as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to limit radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and ensure patient comfort throughout the examination.
  • Follow up with proper documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, including radiologists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic services.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations, including those from the NYSDOH and ARRT.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Certifications & Licensure:

  • A valid license as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH).
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography.
  • Preferred: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
