Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Medical/Surgical
Location: LaGrange, Georgia, 30240
Shift Time: 3x12-hour shifts per week, Day Shift (6:45 a.m. - 6:45 p.m.)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care in a medical/surgical environment. The LPN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Manager, delivering age-appropriate interventions that address the physical, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients. The position involves coordinating care and serving as a patient educator while adhering to nursing protocols. The LPN may also participate in call rotations and weekend visits as necessary.

Core Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care:

• Assess and manage patient care following physician orders, under RN oversight.
• Perform routine nursing procedures according to patient needs.
• Meet established productivity standards.
• Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare team members to deliver effective patient care.
• Update RNs, therapists, and clinical supervisors on changes in patient conditions.
• Assist in developing and revising individual care plans with RN input.
• Educate patients and caregivers to foster self-care and support.
• Report concerns regarding patient or staff safety to appropriate authorities or leadership.

Staff Education and Professional Development:

• Act as a preceptor for new LPN employees.
• Participate in continuing education and in-service training.
• Maintain current clinical knowledge and stay updated on home health care practices.

Required Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate in Nursing (LPN).

Required Minimum Licenses and Certifications:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred Certifications:

• Valid Georgia Driver’s License.
• Private Vehicle Insurance.

Required Minimum Experience:

At least 1 year of medical/surgical nursing practice in an acute care environment is preferred.
