Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist, Reg, 2-5 yrs - Contract
Schedule Notes: 9am-5pm; female for pelvic exams

Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing or assisting in ultrasound examinations, providing technical support to the Radiologist, and maintaining all ultrasound equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares and examines patients for ultrasound procedures following established protocols and techniques.
• Operates, adjusts, and maintains ultrasound equipment, ensuring necessary safety precautions to protect patients and personnel.
• Sets up, operates, cleans, and performs minor adjustments on ultrasound equipment.
• Ensures necessary supplies are available for procedures.
• Assists with the orientation and mentorship of new Ultrasound staff.
• Captures and transfers images to PACS and physician workstations.
• Answers phones, schedules exams, and may assist with patient transportation.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Skills:

• Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of office and administrative practices.
• Skilled in using personal computers and related software.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.

Education: Graduate of a two-year ultrasound program, including clinical and didactic education.

Certifications: ARDMS Certification
