Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) Stepdown/Progressive Care team for a 13-week assignment. The RN will utilize clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patient responses to various health conditions, focusing on cardiology and post-operative cardiac surgery care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Diagnosis and Treatment:

  • Use clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions in the Cardiovascular Unit.

• Cardiology and Post-Op Care:

  • Provide care for cardiology patients, including those undergoing procedures like PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and bi-ventricular pacemakers.
  • Care for open heart surgery patients within 18-24 hours post-op, as well as patients with congestive heart failure and those undergoing electrophysiology studies.

• Collaboration:

  • Work as a critical member of a team that manages over 4000 cardiology patients annually.

Requirements:

• Experience:

  • 1+ year of experience in Cardiovascular Unit nursing (Required)
  • Travel nursing experience (Required)

• Skills:

  • Comfort with EKG interpretation (Required)
  • Willingness to float to similar units (Required)
