Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Critical Care Unit (CCU) team. The RN will be responsible for evaluating patients, assisting physicians with patient care, and providing high-quality, patient-centric care in a critical care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ICU/CCU and med/surg, with a commitment to evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess patient needs, developing and implementing individualized plans of care.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage the care of patients with complex conditions.
• Document patient care accurately, based on standards of care, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice and support innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centered care aligned with professional nursing practice models.
• Assist physicians with patient care and collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Be available to float to any unit within the hospital, including MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step Down units as needed.

Skills & Experience:

• Required: Minimum of 2+ years of strong experience in ICU/CCU (cardiac) and med/surg.
• Preferred: Knowledge of complex cardiac care (e.g., balloon pumps) is a plus.

Education:

• Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN).
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Certifications & Licenses:

• Required:
  • New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - AHA.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (can be obtained after acceptance but must be completed prior to the start date).
• Preferred:
  • CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification.

Languages:

• English (Speak, Read, Write)

Schedule Notes:

• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required.
• Holidays as needed; no on-call requirements.
• Must be highly reliable and prioritize this schedule over any alternative employment.
• Will be caring for COVID-19 patients when needed.
