  • 3-5 years of prior experience required

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will provide clinical care to patients under the supervision of a professional nurse or licensed medical practitioner and assist with clerical office tasks.

Essential Generic Job Functions:

  • Prepare Exam Rooms: Set up treatment rooms, supplies, and instruments for patient visits.
  • Assist with Patient Care: Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document in medical charts.
  • Operate Equipment: Understand and maintain special medical equipment, including performing EKGs, PFTs, Audiometry, and Titmus Tests.
  • Conduct Lab Tests: Perform UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, and other lab tests as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain patient records, file documents, and assist with collections and billing procedures.
  • Computer Skills: Use office software for system maintenance and data entry.
  • Confidentiality: Handle patient information confidentially and in compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Patient Care: Adapt care to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
  • Other Duties: Complete additional tasks as assigned and adhere to organizational standards.

Education

Required Education:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
