Job Title: Temporary Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) - Long Term Care (Days)

Position Summary: The client is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join our long-term care facility on a temporary basis for day shifts. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support daily activities of residents. This role requires a high level of professionalism, empathy, and a dedication to improving the quality of life for our residents.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Resident Care:

    • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
    • Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
    • Assist with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment and techniques.
    • Ensure residents’ comfort and safety by providing compassionate care and attending to their needs promptly.
    • Report any changes in residents' condition to the nursing staff promptly.
  • Support Services:

    • Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
    • Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents.
    • Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans for residents.
    • Participate in recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance residents' physical and mental well-being.
  • Administrative Duties:

    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided in residents’ records.
    • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
    • Participate in shift reports and team meetings to ensure continuity of care.
  • Compliance and Safety:

    • Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure resident safety and confidentiality.
    • Adhere to infection control and prevention guidelines.
    • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications:

  • Certification:

    • Current Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification in the state of [Insert State Here].
  • Experience:

    • Previous experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
  • Skills:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • High level of patience, empathy, and compassion for elderly residents.

    • Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
  • Other Requirements:

    • Ability to work day shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment:

  • Requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
