Job Summary:

As a Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse, you'll be at the forefront of providing compassionate and specialized care to children experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies. You'll work alongside a dedicated team of professionals, utilizing innovative technologies and evidence-based practices to deliver exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and comprehensive assessment and care to pediatric patients with diverse physical and mental health needs, prioritizing and responding effectively to critical situations.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain a calm and reassuring presence for patients and families during stressful situations, providing clear communication and emotional support.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and practices in pediatric emergency medicine through ongoing education and training.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by readily assisting colleagues and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
  • Minimum of 18 months of experience working in a pediatric emergency department setting.
  • Demonstrated skill and proficiency in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, critical environment.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and analytical ability to assess patient needs and formulate effective care plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Proven commitment to patient safety and ethical nursing practice.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) with relevant experience considered.
