Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Nurse Assistant – Rehab & Long-Term Care (Travel)

Location: Newark, NY 14513
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8-hour shifts
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Rotational Weekends)
Hours: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
Duration: 13 Weeks

Note: Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility.


Job Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and reliable CNA / Nurse Assistant for a travel assignment in a Rehabilitation & Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. This role requires hands-on patient care experience and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, feeding, grooming, and toileting
  • Support mobility: ambulation, transfers, and repositioning
  • Monitor and document vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations)
  • Provide skin care and assist in pressure injury prevention
  • Assist with catheter care, specimen collection, and intake/output monitoring
  • Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment
  • Follow infection control protocols and PPE guidelines
  • Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
  • Accurately document care provided
  • Use safe patient handling equipment (Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, transfer devices)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of CNA experience (Rehab/LTC preferred)
  • Strong patient care and ADL assistance skills
  • Experience with vital signs monitoring and documentation
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
