Job Title: RN Nurse Educator – Maternal Child Health

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks (No Extension)

Schedule Details

• Shift: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced RN Nurse Educator to support inpatient maternal-child health units, including Labor & Delivery, NICU, Postpartum (Mother-Baby Unit), and Pediatrics. This role is ideal for a clinically strong nurse with a passion for education, training, and improving patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical education and training across L&D, NICU, MBU, and Pediatric units
• Support onboarding, orientation, and ongoing development of nursing staff
• Ensure adherence to clinical standards, policies, and best practices
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to enhance patient care quality and safety
• Assess staff competency and identify training needs
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and educational program development

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (verification through NYSED required)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
• Strong clinical knowledge and teaching/mentoring ability
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education or related field (strongly preferred)
• Prior experience in a Nurse Educator or clinical training role
• Experience across multiple maternal-child health units
