Job Title: Food Safety Certified Aide
Location: New York, NY 10065
Job Type: 13-Week Contract
Pay Rate: $25 - $31/hour

Schedule

• Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Frequency: 3 shifts/week (alternating 2–3 days/week)
• Weekend Rotation: Required
• Additional PRN Shifts: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is hiring a Food Safety Certified Aide to support NICU and pediatric patients in a hospital setting. This role focuses on delivering safe, accurate, and patient-centered dietary care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with meal planning, prep, and distribution per dietary guidelines
• Support NICU and pediatric nutrition care
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Accurately document dietary information in electronic systems
• Collaborate with clinical and dietary teams
• Ensure high-quality patient service and safety

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree (Required)
• Certification: Food Safety Certification (Required)
• Experience: 1+ year in dietary services (Preferred)
• Skills: Strong computer, communication, and basic math skills

Vaccination Requirements

• COVID-19 Vaccine (Required; medical exemptions only)
• Flu Vaccine (Required; exemptions/declinations allowed)

Work Environment

• Hospital-based Dietary Services department

• Focus on NICU and pediatric nutrition care

• Collaborative, patient-centered setting
