Job Title: Salesforce Developer

Engagement Model: Consulting Services
Duration: 1-Year Contract
Work Location: 100% Remote
Work Hours: Minimum 20 hours/week to Maximum 40 hours/week (based on project needs)


Role Overview

A public sector-focused organization is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to support the implementation and enhancement of enterprise Salesforce solutions.

The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Salesforce applications, with a focus on case management, workflow automation, and system integrations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and customize Salesforce solutions using:

    • Declarative tools (Flows, OmniStudio, Validation Rules)

    • Programmatic tools (Apex, Lightning Web Components - LWC)

  • Develop automation to support business processes and case management workflows

  • Create and maintain:

    • Flows

    • Apex classes

    • Custom components

  • Maintain technical design documentation, deployment scripts, and configuration guides

  • Ensure adherence to data privacy, security controls, and governance standards

  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems using:

    • REST/SOAP APIs

    • Named Credentials

    • Middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft or similar platforms)

  • Implement complex logic for domain-specific use cases (e.g., eligibility, payments)

  • Develop and maintain unit tests and participate in code reviews

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and deployment activities

  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines and sandbox environment management

  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, project managers, and QA teams

  • Provide production support, troubleshooting, and system enhancements

  • Refactor and optimize solutions based on evolving requirements and compliance needs

  • Support integration with:

    • Contact center / CTI platforms

    • Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions

  • Develop and implement new workflows to enhance system capabilities


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Salesforce development experience

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with:

    • Apex

    • Lightning Web Components (LWC)

    • Visualforce

    • Salesforce Flow

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Salesforce data model

    • Security model and access controls

  • Experience with Service Cloud and/or Experience Cloud

  • Experience developing case management solutions, preferably in public sector environments

  • Proficiency in web technologies:

    • HTML

    • CSS

    • JavaScript

    • jQuery

  • Experience with API integrations and DevOps tools

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and version control


Certifications (Required)

At least one of the following:

  • Salesforce Platform Developer Certification

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification

  • Salesforce App Builder Certification


Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with public sector or government-focused Salesforce implementations

  • Experience with middleware/integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft)

  • Familiarity with contact center integrations (CTI)

  • Experience implementing SSO and secure access solutions
