Location: Austin, Texas
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Contract Duration: 12 Months

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced MDM Architect (Enterprise Architect III) to design, implement, and support enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions within a large healthcare and human services environment. This role will be responsible for architecting and enhancing enterprise-wide master data capabilities that support identity resolution, reference data management, data governance, and integrated analytics initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Informatica MDM, Informatica PowerCenter, ETL development, metadata management, enterprise data architecture, and healthcare data integration, along with strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

Master Data Management Architecture

• Design and implement enterprise-scale Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
• Develop strategies for mastering critical provider, member, and enterprise reference data domains.
• Architect identity resolution, trusted attribution, and reference data management solutions.
• Establish and maintain MDM standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Support enterprise data governance and data quality initiatives.

Informatica Development & Integration

• Develop and maintain MDM solutions using the Informatica technology stack.
• Design and implement Informatica PowerCenter custom solutions.
• Develop, test, and optimize ETL processes for large-scale data integration environments.
• Integrate data from multiple enterprise sources including healthcare and operational systems.
• Support metadata management and metadata repository processes.

Data Architecture & Modeling

• Collaborate with data architects and business stakeholders to develop enterprise data models.
• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Document current-state and future-state data architectures.
• Support data harmonization and enterprise integration initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise information management strategies.

Application Support & Enhancements

• Develop, test, and deploy enhancements to MDM application environments.
• Support system upgrades, releases, and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Ensure solution scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Monitor and improve data quality and system effectiveness.

Project Delivery & Agile Execution

• Participate in Agile project planning and delivery activities.
• Support project lifecycle management from requirements through deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with coding, security, and architectural standards.

Strategic Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with business leaders, program teams, and technical stakeholders to support enterprise data initiatives.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
• Provide subject matter expertise on master data, identity resolution, and enterprise data architecture.
• Support strategic planning and analytics initiatives across multiple programs.

AI & Data Innovation

• Develop AI-enabled approaches for data discovery, analysis, and reporting.
• Create standardized prompts and query strategies for enterprise data domains.
• Validate AI-generated outputs and identify potential inaccuracies.
• Promote responsible AI adoption aligned with governance and compliance requirements.
• Support organizational data literacy and AI enablement efforts.

Data Quality & Governance

• Ensure all master data solutions comply with enterprise governance standards.
• Support implementation of data quality controls and monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with data stewardship teams to improve data accuracy and consistency.
• Contribute to metadata management and data lineage initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 8+ years of advanced Informatica and ETL development experience.
• 8+ years of experience implementing Enterprise Information Management (EIM) best practices.
• 8+ years of experience designing and implementing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
• 8+ years of experience designing and implementing Informatica PowerCenter custom solutions.
• 8+ years of experience with enterprise data modeling tools such as:
  • Erwin
  • ER/Studio
  • Equivalent enterprise data modeling platforms
• 8+ years of experience communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 8+ years of experience managing multiple priorities within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong technical documentation and technical writing skills.

Architecture Leadership

• 5+ years of experience architecting enterprise-scale Master Data Management solutions.
• Experience leading large data integration and governance initiatives.
• Experience supporting multi-domain MDM implementations.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Systems Engineering
  • Information Systems
  • Related Technical Discipline
• Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
