Job Title: Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (IR)
Location: Gastonia, NC
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10-Hour Day Shifts | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM | 4 Days per Week
On-Call: Every 6th Weekend and 1 Night During the Week
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) to provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiologic procedures. The ideal candidate will deliver compassionate and efficient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings while maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout all stages of imaging and treatment.
Provide pre- and post-procedure care for inpatients and outpatients receiving radiology services or stress testing.
Monitor patients during procedures across various imaging modalities, including CT, Ultrasound, MRI, and Interventional Radiology.
Care for a primarily adult patient population, with occasional infants and children undergoing MRI with anesthesia.
Administer medications, IVs, and moderate sedation as appropriate.
Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and anesthesia teams to ensure smooth procedural workflows.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergent cases.
Active RN License (State or Compact).
Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in Interventional Radiology, Critical Care, or PACU preferred.
Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures, sedation, and patient monitoring.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
BLS (AHA) – Required
ACLS (AHA) – Required
PALS (Preferred)
