Job Title: EEG Technician Location: Syracuse, NY Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Pay Rate: $45 – $55 per hour Type: Contract
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EEG Technician to join a reputable healthcare team in Syracuse, NY. This role involves performing routine EEGs on patients across all age groups—from neonatal to geriatric—in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform EEG procedures following ASET guidelines
Apply electrodes and monitor EEGs for adult and pediatric patients
Record, analyze, and prepare EEG data for physician interpretation
Edit 24-hour EEG recordings when required
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
Maintain, troubleshoot, and document issues with EEG equipment
Ensure workstations are stocked and maintained in a clean, organized manner
Follow all hospital and department protocols and safety standards
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New York State
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Job Description:
• Collaborate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans • Act as a liaison between patients and medical staff, ensuring effective communication and support • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures; administer contrast media or barium enemas as necessary • Start IV fluids and administer prescribed medications including sedation and contrast • Monitor and document vital signs and patient reactions throughout procedures • Recognize, respond to, and report any adverse effects or patient condition changes • Provide recovery care and reassessment post-procedure • Communicate patient status and procedure results to physicians and care team
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med/Surg Radiology in an acute care hospital (within the past year) • Strong proficiency in: o Physical assessment o Medication administration o Wound care and infection control o IV therapy and post-op care o Patient education o Telemetry monitoring
Job Title: RN – Endoscopy/GI Procedures Location: New York, NY Duration: 3+ Months (Extendable) Shift: 10-Hour Flex Schedule | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Compensation:
Local Rate: $3,120/week
Travel Rate: $3,609/week (including stipend)
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New York State
AHA BLS Certification
ACLS Certification
Experience with IV insertion and phlebotomy
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform GI and Endoscopy procedures according to clinical protocols • Administer conscious sedation safely and monitor patient responses • Insert IV lines and draw blood as required • Monitor patient vitals during and after procedures • Assist in patient recovery and provide post-procedure care • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities
Required Skills:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in GI/Endoscopy nursing • Skilled in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and administering conscious sedation • Ability to function in a high-acuity, fast-paced healthcare environment
Education & Certifications:
• Current and active RN license in New York • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications • Training/experience in IV therapy and phlebotomy
