Operate sterilization equipment: Steam, ETO, Sterrad, and Steris.
Perform and document quality checks including biological and Bowie-Dick tests.
Maintain accurate sterilization records and track load details.
Use computerized systems for instrument inventory and tray management.
Assemble case carts according to surgeon preferences and deliver to OR.
Collaborate with nursing staff to resolve missing or incomplete items.
Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs., pushing/pulling 60 lbs., and standing for extended periods.
Adhere to all hospital safety, infection control, and compliance protocols.
Qualifications
Completion of a Central Processing course or a minimum of one year of experience in instrument processing.
National certification required: CRCST or CBSPD.
High school diploma or GED required.
