Position Overview
The RN – Wound Care is responsible for providing specialized nursing care focused on wound, ostomy, and continence management. This role supports patients with complex wounds through assessment, treatment, education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, while also contributing to quality improvement initiatives and staff education.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert wound, ostomy, continence, fistula, and complex wound care services
Assess, treat, and document patient responses to wound care interventions
Conduct comprehensive skin and pressure injury risk assessments and implement prevention strategies
Develop, revise, and evaluate wound care standards and best practices
Assist in the selection and evaluation of wound care supplies, equipment, and technology
Evaluate the quality and delivery of wound care provided by clinical staff
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
Educate patients and families on wound care, ostomy management, continence care, and prevention strategies
Provide staff education, including new employee orientation and in-service training
Participate in unit-based and organization-wide quality improvement initiatives, including prevalence and incidence studies
Communicate and escalate clinical challenges, ethical concerns, and conflict resolution issues as appropriate
Support culturally competent care and education tailored to diverse patient populations
Maintain confidentiality, data security, and compliance with patient rights and regulatory standards
Track and manage wound care-related equipment, including specialty beds and negative pressure wound therapy devices
Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain clinical competency
Identify community resources and assist patients in accessing post-discharge support services
Required Experience & Education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program
Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience with a strong focus on wound and ostomy care
Required Licensure & Certifications
Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
BLS (AHA) certification
One or more of the following wound care certifications:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and cardiac procedures, delivering high-quality patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Scrub and circulate during cardiac catheterization procedures
Monitor and care for critically ill cardiac patients throughout all phases of care
Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy
Administer conscious sedation as required
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
Comply with safety, infection control, and quality improvement standards and policies
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience
Strong skills in:
IV insertion
Phlebotomy
Conscious sedation
Prior Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred
Education & Licensure Requirements

Position Summary
The Service Desk Analyst will provide front-line, Level 1 IT support for a large enterprise environment that includes multiple healthcare networks and a corporate office. This role serves as the primary point of contact for IT issues, requests, and incidents, delivering high-quality customer service while ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
The analyst will monitor and respond to service desk phone calls, email queues, and automated ticketing systems, resolving issues where possible and escalating appropriately when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Service Desk Support
Provide Level 1 and Level 1.5 support for IT incidents and service requests from intake through resolution
Serve as the single point of contact for end users regarding IT problems, incidents, and service requests
Monitor and manage incoming requests via phone, email, and automated ticketing systems
Perform accurate triage and escalation in accordance with established SLAs and procedures
Technical Support
Support common end-user issues including:
Password resets
Microsoft Office applications
Windows operating system issues
Utilize service desk tools (e.g., ServiceNow and performance monitoring tools) to document, track, and resolve tickets
Track open tickets, monitor progress, and ensure timely closure per SLA requirements
Customer Service & Operations
Deliver a positive end-user experience by meeting or exceeding customer expectations
Follow escalation and paging procedures to ensure SLAs are consistently met
Remain current on service desk tools, processes, and technologies
Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the Service Desk
Collaboration & Special Projects
Work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment
Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
Maintain flexibility to work various shifts or locations if required

Education

Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a business, government, healthcare, educational, or non-profit environment involving:
Systems analysis or support
Methods and procedures implementation
Management information systems or data coordination
Familiarity with EDP applications and data processing programs
Preferred Skills
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
Experience working in a 24/7 service desk or healthcare IT environment
